Click the button below to download YUEDU’s tobacco industry solution guide. It covers the processing of coded cigarette packaging, printing rejects, filters, seized cigarettes, production-line paper offcuts and confidential company records.

The guide presents six typical applications and four system configurations: standalone equipment, shredding with conveyors, integration with a factory’s negative-pressure conveying system, and a complete automated processing line.

📌 1. Solution Overview

Cigarette production, tobacco-packaging printing and product distribution generate waste with different handling requirements. Some packaging carries traceability codes or brand information; paper, filters and cellulose acetate may also have recovery value.

YUEDU designs the processing route around the material, required capacity, destruction objective and existing plant infrastructure. A project may use one shredder or combine feeding, shredding, pneumatic conveying, dust collection, storage and compaction. Equipment can also be connected to an existing central waste-handling system.

📌 2. Six Typical Applications

| Application                        | Main Materials                                                         | Processing Objective                                                  | Typical Configuration                                  |

| ---------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |

| Code and security-mark destruction | Coded packs, traceability marks, security labels and branded packaging | Damage identifying information and prevent unauthorized reuse         | Fine shredding with conveying or compaction            |

| Printed packaging waste            | Cigarette packs, laminated paper, printing rejects and die-cut offcuts | Destroy branded structures and reduce waste volume                    | Industrial shredding with conveying or baling          |

| Filters and cellulose acetate      | Waste filters, filter rods and cellulose acetate materials             | Destroy the original form and prepare material for recovery           | Feeding, shredding or granulation, and compaction      |

| Seized cigarette destruction       | Counterfeit, smuggled, seized and rejected cigarettes                  | Destroy large volumes and reduce the risk of re-entry into the market | Carton feeding and industrial shredding                |

| Production-line paper offcuts      | Cigarette paper, packaging paper and continuous offcuts                | Collect and reduce waste at the production line                       | Online collection, shredding and pneumatic conveying   |

| Confidential company records       | Financial, production, technical and archive documents                 | Destroy records to the required security specification                | Office, archive-room or centralized destruction system |

————————————————————

📌 3. Key Features

✔ Covers six common tobacco-industry waste applications

✔ Supports secure destruction, volume reduction and recycling preparation

✔ Options for batch waste and continuous production-line offcuts

✔ Standalone machines or integrated automated systems

✔ Can connect to existing conveyors, negative-pressure ducts and central waste-handling facilities

✔ Can combine pneumatic conveying, dust collection, separation, storage and compaction

✔ Output size selected according to the material and destruction requirement

✔ Feeding and discharge methods adapted to plant layout and target capacity

————————————————————

📌 4. Coded and Branded Packaging Destruction

For cigarette packs carrying QR codes, traceability marks, security labels or brand graphics, the processing objective is to damage the identifying information and the intact package structure so that rejected materials cannot readily be reused without authorization.

Some applications shown in the guide involve QR-code areas measuring approximately 8×8mm. This is a project example, not a universal specification for cigarette packaging. The target output size should be determined from the actual code dimensions, packaging structure, internal security requirements and material tests.

Configurations may use manual feeding, continuous conveyor feeding or a connection to the factory’s existing negative-pressure conveying system.

📌 5. System Configurations

| Configuration                                     | Suitable Application                                                                                                        |

| ------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

| Standalone equipment                              | Lower volumes or sites with established downstream handling facilities                                                      |

| Shredder with conveyor                            | Continuous feeding of packaging, printing rejects or cigarettes                                                             |

| Shredder connected to factory pneumatic conveying | Transfer of shredded material through existing ducts to a central waste area                                                |

| Complete automated system                         | Projects requiring feeding, shredding, pneumatic conveying, dust collection, storage, compaction or baling, and PLC control |

Depending on the project, the system can cover material collection, feeding, shredding, discharge, dust separation, storage and final compaction. The equipment combination should be confirmed against the available site infrastructure.

📌 6. Applicable Industries and Materials

Applicable industries: Cigarette Manufacturers / Tobacco-Packaging Printers / Packaging Companies / Tobacco Regulators / Customs and Market-Supervision Authorities / Third-Party Destruction Providers / Tobacco-Waste Recyclers

Applicable materials: Coded Cigarette Packs / Security Labels / Printed Packs / Laminated Packaging Paper / Printing Rejects / Die-Cut Offcuts / Waste Filters / Filter Rods / Cellulose Acetate / Counterfeit or Seized Cigarettes / Cigarette-Paper Offcuts / Financial Records / Production Documents / R&D Files / Archived Records

Different materials may require different shredding, separation, dust-collection or compaction equipment. Mixed materials should be evaluated with representative samples before the final process is selected.

————————————————————

📌 7. Information Needed for Equipment Selection

✔ Material type, original dimensions and photographs or videos

✔ Objective: secure destruction, volume reduction, recovery, or a combination

✔ Required hourly or daily capacity and operating hours

✔ Target output size or destruction specification

✔ Downstream collection, conveying, compaction, baling or recycling process

✔ Existing conveyors, dust collection and central waste-handling equipment

Material and processing objectives should be confirmed first, followed by capacity and output size. The site’s material flow then determines whether a standalone machine or integrated system is appropriate.
